Kitty and Carol - Thank you both for your comments. I did a little manipulating of the images in Picasa to boost the colors a bit... just to be honest about what you're seeing.
I'm Heather, and I consider myself in the "serious hobbyist" category of photography. My favorite subjects are those found in nature, but I also love taking pictures of animals (especially our dogs) and food.
