I thought it is some kind of an ancient vase when I first looked at these photos with the corner of my eye ) I'm sure this mug could tell a story or two. And I just love the pattern made of sand and shells.
Aluajala - Yes, I'm sure it could tell quite a story. I wish there was a way to tell how long it had been under the water. Since it is not completely covered in sand and shells, maybe only a handful of years?
Thanks for stopping by, and I would love for you to link to my blog post. I also agree that it is a Chestnut.
You have a very nice blog. These 2 photographs are great, actually makes me wonder where they are. Always a great photo when it makes a person think as they enjoy.
I'm Heather, and I consider myself in the "serious hobbyist" category of photography. My favorite subjects are those found in nature, but I also love taking pictures of animals (especially our dogs) and food. I invite constructive criticism on this blog, so if you have any suggestions about composition, technique, lighting, etc, please let me know in the comments section. I look forward to your feedback.

In case you're wondering, I shoot with: * Nikon D50 DSLR body (discontinued), with 18-55mm kit lens and 55-200mm zoom lens * +1, +2 and +4 macro filters, polarizing filter, neutral density filter * Vivitar tripod
